As for how to smear thermal grease,we should pay more attention to this question.We need to know the amout as it can’t be smear too much on CPU(generally, less than a soybean),just fill the CPU core  and concave of the protruding part, can’t smear fully of the CPU Chip. At the same time , it must be uniform thickness when apply the thermal grease and don’t allowed to leave bubble in the thermal grease, or the air in the gap will play the role of insulation. Another point which is necessary to clarify is that we should know if there have excessive volume metal powder or graphite in the thermal grease before we use the grease as they will cause a short circuit.
